It has been said that what you focus on, is what you see. At a conference I attended, we watched a video and were instructed to count how many times a group of students who were wearing white shirts, passed a basketball. I purposely looked only at the team who had white shirts. When the video was over, the instructor asked what we thought of the gorilla. "What Gorilla?", I thought. The video was played again and right there in the middle of the video, a gorilla walked through the group of students.
Because I was focused on the team in white shirts, I only saw them.
Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. Hebrews 3:1
Isn't it that way in our spiritual lives as well?
What we focus on is what we see! We have a choice to focus on Jesus or to focus on other things. When we only see the problem we can't see the solution.
We can focus on;
money
stress
people
sickness
nervousness
loss
anger
success
Or
We can put our focus on Jesus
