Have you ever felt forgotten?
Maybe
You were not asked
Your birthday was forgotten
Your contribution was not acknowledged
You were left behind
You feel invisible, cast aside
Isaiah 49:14b-16a, "...“The LORD has deserted us; the Lord has forgotten us.” “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands....
You are never forgotten! You are important to God. Not forgotten, rejected or cast aside. Every hair on your head is important to Him. Every detail of your life is known by Him.
When He looks at the palms of His hands He sees your name.
Jann,
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to feel as those no one notices; no one cares. For even that one moment, what a balm are such words. This is perfect armour for a Monday.
Peace, good, and thanks.
Great reminder.
ReplyDeleteGod is always with us!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! I think this is my first visit to your blog. Please stop by and say hello and follow (if you don't already) my blog at http://jessicaslilcorner.blogspot.com
Hope you have a great weekend! :-)
I thank God that I am not forgotton. Its such a blessing to know that he will never leave or forsake it. On the other hand we also need to Remember God. Remembrance makes us grateful for our salvation. When the children of Israel were coming out of Egypt, remembrance was one thing that God wanted them to have (Deutronomy 8:2). Just as God has written our names on the palm of His hands, let us also have His engraved in our hearts. God bless you. www.daghewardmills.org
