The Tapestry

I have been thinking about what a mess it seems that we make in our lives.  Wrong decisions, impulsively responding, going down what seems like dead ends! Yet God has a plan and he continues to work His plan whether we join Him in that moment or not.  The Israelites wandered for 40 years and God was still at work, still loving and guiding, still waiting for them. He has a plan, even when we can not see it.

The back of the tapestry

My life is but a weaving between my Lord and me,


I cannot choose the colors He worketh steadily.

Oft times He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride


forget He sees the upper but I the under side.

Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly,


shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needed in the Weaver's skillful hand,


as threads of gold and silver in the pattern life has planned.

God knows what He is doing! Trust Him to weave together a 

beautiful thing in your life! 

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11

Father, show us a glimpse of the beauty that you are creating.  Remind us that you are at work even when we feel alone or misunderstood.  We will put our trust in you the master weaver!
