The other day I was asking Siri on my phone a question. I was looking for information about one of the names of Jesus. I was amazed at what she responded!
Siri told me to check with a human for spiritual questions! That was a wise response! Better still would have been for her to tell me that I needed to check with Jesus!
Jesus is the Wisdom of God and thus He is the one that we should be directing our questions to. I was humbled by how He used my phone to remind me that He has the answers that I am looking for. He never closes, His door is always open and He has infinite knowledge at His disposal. Why would I go anywhere else!
but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. I Corinthians 1:24
We need His wisdom. This world does not have what we need. In 1 Corinthians 3:19 it tells us that the wisdom of the world is foolishness.
We need His wisdom in
finances
gift giving
decisions
relationships
the words that we say
how to do our jobs
purchases
our time
helping people
how to get healthy
tense situations
how to celebrate
in everything
Prayer
Jesus, the one who is the wisdom of God, we ask that you would fill us with your wisdom. That we would have the wisdom that comes from heaven, pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Draw us to yourself, and speak to us. We need you. Remind us that in every situation we can come to you. Thank you for always being available for your children.
